After graduating from Cornell University and SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, Dr. Wolfeld was accepted into the highly competitive integrated plastic surgery training program at the Mount Sinai Medical Center where there was an acceptance percentage of less than 1%. Following completion of this plastic surgery residency program, Dr. Wolfeld pursued an additional fellowship in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, training under the leaders of cosmetic plastic surgery. This additional experience provided him the aesthetic acumen, expertise, and know how to deliver to his patients a life changing natural result from a hair restoration procedure. Dr. Wolfeld firmly believes that an aesthetic sense is innate; but years of training specifically in an aesthetic field is paramount in delivering a superior hair restoration result. This is why having a board certification in plastic surgery demonstrates Dr. Wolfeld’s overall aesthetic expertise, his safety in surgical protocols, and his ethical approach to each individual patient. Dr. Wolfeld worked as an associate at Bernstein Medical, PC with Dr. Robert Bernstein for five years, from 2013-2018. During these years, Drs. Wolfeld and Bernstein attended the ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons) and Restoration Robotics Users (manufacturer of the ARTAS robot) meetings annually to learn new techniques and share ideas and innovations with the worldwide hair restoration community. At Bernstein Medical, Dr. Wolfeld performed hundreds of hair transplant procedures, FUT and robotic FUE, as well as thousands of platelet rich plasma (PRP) treatments. Dr. Wolfeld also had the opportunity to spend time at the office of Dr. William Rassman in Los Angeles to learn the nuances and techniques of scalp micropigmentation from an expert in the field of SMP.
